The third level is direct support maintenance, which involves repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning equipment that cannot be fixed at the unit level.
This type of maintenance is usually carried out by specialized units that are located closer to the front lines and can provide more immediate support. The final level is general support maintenance, which involves repairing or replacing equipment that cannot be fixed at any of the previous levels.
